How can members gain recognition at the state level?

Participating in competitive events and leadership conferences is a key way for members to gain recognition at the state level because these activities are specifically designed to showcase skills, knowledge, and commitment to the organization’s objectives. Competitive events allow members to demonstrate their proficiency in various business-related topics, while leadership conferences provide opportunities to learn from experienced professionals, network with peers, and develop important leadership skills. Success in these activities can lead to awards or honors that are recognized by the state organization, enhancing the members' visibility and reputation within the FBLA community.

In contrast, while attending meetings regularly, volunteering in local businesses, and completing community service projects can all be valuable experiences, they do not inherently provide the level of recognition or prestige that comes from competing in state-sanctioned events and conferences.
